SS 321 is a fundamental austenitic 18/8 steel that is stabilized with Titanium addition. The SS 321 grade is utilized within a temperature range of up to approximately 900C, offering a blend of high strength, scaling resistance, phase stability, and resistance to aqueous corrosion. Its increased carbon content enhances its high-temperature strength. SS 321H is stabilized through the incorporation of niobium to combat intergranular corrosion. SS 321/321H has been created for improved creep resistance and elevated strength at temperatures exceeding 1000F.
